my brother-in-law has a 2003 Camry, so when ever i see a beige Camry i take a picture and send it to him. He probably gets a photo once a day, if not more. Today was a special photo, accidentally capturing three generations in one photo.

I have been nursing a quiet and unreasonable hatred for that gen Camry since a week ago and an exhaust flange stud replacement gone bad.

Correct take on the Camry. Toyota has never really gave an y meaningful p erformance to the Camry. It’s just a commuters car, which isn’t bad thing as something on the food chain has to take that spot.

But it could have been done so much better. I.e. the A ccord. They are now the only midsize t o offer a manual on the top trim engine.

The Accord has always been considered the enthusiast commuter. Whether in coupe or sedan versions.

Motortrend compared the two and the obvious winner was the Accord. With saying “the Accord felt more composed at 125 mph than the Camry did at 90.”

Which is funny cause Toyota is smoking with this ad. M aybe it’s more g rounded to the ground at 50mph on an oval track...

that commercial lets see....

feels like a high end sports car (all i’ve ever driven is a versa)

aggressive styling (over compensating )

Camry’s racing heritage (Zero? NASCAR doesn;t count)

this track is one of the toughest tracks (its a fucking oval)

my wife is owning it (someone is trying to get laid tonight and no shes not owning it at 60 mph)

Toyota - Lets Go Places (thats really all you’ll do in a toyota, if you dont fall asleep)

Yes to all of that. You have no clue how annoyed I was when I saw that commercial.

To be honest I think it’s worse than the grounded to the ground shit.

There’s a house I pass every day with three project cars abandoned vehicles of unknown late 70's/early 80's vintage, all 2-door “muscle car” types. And a late 60's Mustang that never moves. And until recently, a “plow truck” that he didn’t use for snow removal, and wasn’t registered. And in the driveway? Two beige Camrys. Because you gotta get to work school the grocery store the auto parts store the liquor store somehow.
